Please measure your paw print impression so you know what size to order.
Small paws are 2-1/4" and under (all cats and toy/small breed dogs.)
Large paws are 2-1/2" to 4-1/2" (medium to large dog breeds.)
Giant paws are over 4-1/2" (Great Danes, Mastiffs, etc.)

2. Make an impression

You can either purchase an impression kit at the bottom of this page *kits are sold with purchase of Pet-Paw only* OR make your own (see "Impression Process" page). It is recommended to make at least 2 impressions. Send the one that you think is the best to Pet-Paws, and keep the other one as a back-up impression. Remember, what you see in the impression is what you get in the final bronze paw. Feel free to text or email pictures of your impression for my input if you are undecided about which one to mail out.

Be sure to label your impression kit with your Name, address, and phone number. Be sure to include any notes such as what you would like for an inscription. Also, please make sure the name on your impression matches the name on your order.

When will I get my paws? Expect to receive your Pet-Paw approximately 6-8 weeks after we receive your impression. Multiple paws can take longer. Orders cannot be rushed. A Pet-Paw is a one-of-a-kind work of art made by one artist, therefore, it takes time to make it with care.

Impression Returns: Original impressions, playdough, and containers will be returned upon request - additional postage may be required. Scroll down to the end of this page to buy additional postage if you would like to receive your origninal impressions back. Additional postage is not necessary if your impression kit will fit into a USPS Priority small flat rate box. Sometimes the original play-doh impression may be in pieces or completely destroyed because molten wax is poured into it and sometimes the Play-doh sticks to the wax and must be peeled off.

Custom Pet-Paws: do you want a heart around your paw, or do you want your small cat paw in a circle shape? I can make custom paw shapes, just ask! Most times there is no extra charge.

Do you have a plaster or clay impression? I can make a Pet-Paw from your existing plaster cast or hardened clay impression, however, the paw will most likely be an IMPRINT style paw (paw pads sunken in.) Sometimes I will need to spray the impression with a release agent, and there may be some discoloration. There is also a slight possibility that the impression may get damaged. Cats: 1/8" to 1/4" deep

Small dogs: 1/4" deep

Large dogs: 1/4" to 3/8" deep

This is especially important when ordering a Pet-Paw Set because the two paws must fit together. If the claws are too long, I will "trim" them back in the wax stage. Also, make sure to leave at least a 1/2" margin all around the impression. Do not make the impression too close to the edge of the container (do not let the paw touch the sides of the container.)
If you make the impression too deep, the final metal version of the paw will most likely be a concave dip in the back of the paw (the back of the paw will not be flat). If the impression is too deep and you order a Pet-Paw set, the two paws may not fit together properly, or I may not be able to make the imprint side of the Pet-Paw set because it will not cast properly.
Also keep in mind that there is no "perfect" paw. All paws are different shapes and sizes and are unique to each dog or cat. Some paws may have a quirky claw or pad, or they may be missing a pad altogether. The paw pads may be splayed apart or smooshed together while taking the impression. This is a quality that makes them unique and special. A true one-of-a-kind treasure!

The Large Pet-Paw is made from medium to large size dogs with paws over 2-1/4 inches up to 4-1/2 inches in length. If your paw is over 4-1/2", then it is considered a giant paw (scroll down to the next paw). The large Pet-Paw weighs about 1 lb. on average. It is cast in solid bronze, brass, copper, or aluminum metal. It is cast directly from your dog's paw impression. The large Pet-Paw is made only in the relief style (paw pads raised up) as shown. Imprint style (paw pads down) is available in the Large Pet-Paw Set below.

This Pet-Paw is made from the BIG dogs! The Giant Pet-Paw is over 4-1/2 inches in length and weighs approximately 2 pounds. It is cast in solid bronze, brass, or aluminum metal. It is cast directly from your dog's paw impression. The Giant Pet-Paw is offered in relief style as shown. Not available in copper. The Giant Pet-Paw can be made as a set, but only if the impression is not too deep. Call if you would like a Giant Pet-Paw set 509-553-3842.

The Small Pet-Paw Set is two small paws that fit together. One is a relief paw and the other is an imprint paw. Both paws are made from a single impression. Not available in copper.

The large Pet-Paw Set is two large Pet-Paws that fit together. The top paw is the relief style paw, and the bottom paw is the imprint style paw. Both paws are made from the one same impression. When making the paw impression for this order, please make a fairly shallow impression, not more than 1/2" deep. Not available in copper.

Keep your pet's paw close to your heart. The Pet-Paw pendant is cast from your small dog or cat's paw impression. Can also be nose impression. Pendant is very thin and light weight. Available in relief style only, as shown. Chain/cord not included. Please call for quote on large size paw pendants. Pet-Paw pendants can be cast in silver. Call for a quote.

How cute is this? Send us an impression of your dog or cat's nose, or paw under 2", and we'll make it into a key chain! Comes with key a ring. If you want a large paw key chain, just order the large paw with a hole for hanging and let us know that you would like a key ring with it.

Your pet's paw in a tile! This is a nice thick bronze tile with typical tile demensions of approximately 4-1/4 x 4-1/4. Made in bronze only. Inscription is optional and will be inscribed centered on the bottom front of the tile.

Our impression kit contains soft playdough for ultimate accuracy ready to go in a sealed container, a small rolling pin, and detailed instructions. This impression kit is good for a large Pet-Paw, small Pet-Paw, or either of the Pet-Paw sets above. Impression kits are sent via U.S. Priority Mail. They cannot be shipped overnight.
